Effects of LED vs. Metal Halide lighting on Tomatoes in the Greenhouse

The Oxford Greenhouse team ran an informal trial to see the effects of 650W broad-spectrum LED lights vs. our current 1000W metal halide lights on tomato plants. Click the link above to see photos of each of the light treatments from seedlings to harvest. We found that fruit set and time to maturity were a few weeks sooner under the LED lights than under the metal halide ones.
