See the bigger picture. Make a better world.

At UC Berkeley’s Rausser College of Natural Resources, we study natural and human systems from biological, ecological, economic, and social-science perspectives. We engage the issues that shape the complex, inter-connected world of the 21st century, from sustainable food systems to obesity, from water policy to energy economics, and from the far-reaching impacts of climate change to the linkages between the human genome, diet, and disease.

Choose one of our majors or minors and you’ll enjoy a small-college home on the big Berkeley campus, our personalized advising services, undergraduate research opportunities, and numerous student resources, many of them supported by our generous alumni.

Current UC Berkeley students who are looking to change colleges and transfer into Rausser can learn all about this process on this page.

The Rausser College of Natural Resources does not allow second-baccalaureate-degree applicants.  These applicants are encouraged to consider other opportunities in the UC system.
