The CD-ROM in American Environmental History is for classroom use. Please e-mail Carolyn Merchant for the installation password. State the name of your course, number of students, and institution.

The CD requires 120 megabytes of hard drive space on a PC and 140 megabytes on a Mac. It will take several minutes to download (possibly up to an hour) depending on the speed of your connection and computer. Download the CD by clicking a link for the Mac or PC version. Wait until the file is completely downloaded. Then unstuff the file on a Mac, or install it on a PC, by double-clicking it. Enter the password when requested.
