Pat
Lyons is a Registered Nurse with a masters degree in psychology
and 20 years of experience as a public health educator in a variety
of women's health and federally funded community-based health organizations.

- Co-author: Great
Shape; The First Fitness Guide for Large Women (1988) Regional Health
Education Consultant, Kaiser Permanente No. CA Region from 1989-97.
Developed and managed the Great Shape Program for Large Women in which
1500 women participated. Developed health education materials supporting
the Health @ Every Size perspective on weight and health and conducted
numerous professional education programs.

Founder/Director Connections Women's Health Consulting. Author, educator
and invited speaker to numerous national and international conferences
for both lay audiences and health professionals on issues of weight
and health, nutrition and eating disorders prevention, fitness and
body image, weight prejudice and health care access. Author of numerous
published articles on these topics and a Member of the Steering Committee
of the UC Berkeley Center for Weight and Health.

producing eating disorders prevention videos and training materials
for community coalitions.

Program Development Consultant for Off the Charts, a World Institute
on Disabilities Project to improve access to health care for fat
and disabled people.
