Mary
Lavender Fujii has been the Nutrition Advisor for the past
20 years at the University of California Cooperative Extension,
Contra Costa County office. There she manages the Adult
EFNEP and FSNEP programs and is an active member of a number
of community collaboratives to improve the nutritional status
of vulnerable populations. One of the coalitions, the County
Anemia Task Force, has mounted very successful provider
and public education campaigns resulting in an award-winning
video, state-wide training and a reduction in the rates
of anemia in the targeted preschool population. |
