Study Breaks
As the second round of midterms comes around in the next few weeks, I have found ways to entertain myself with study breaks that really help me focus afterward. One good break over the weekend was going to the UCLA vs. CAL game. It was really awesome watching us beat them this year, especially after I drove down to LA last year to watch us lose:( I love going to the football games because it is such a great display of school spirit, and I feel like football really brings people together. I encourage everyone to go to at least one football game, because it's an important part of being a Cal student.
Another study break that I took was going to The Cheeseboard. If you want cheesy, vegetarian pure deliciousness, you should go to The Cheeseboard. They only have one type of pizza per day, but their pizzas are always vegetarian and always very delicious. It has a really thin crust, and they use really good sauces. It's on northside, but you can easily take the 9 bus down there. Another random study break that I took was when my friend and I went down to the Berkeley Marina and walked down the pier at night. The breeze is really refreshing, and the view of the Bay Bridge and San Francisco is amazing. It is such a good break from the fast-paced life on campus. We even saw a family of racoons that were climbing the rocks along the shore. They were so cute! Another favorite place of mine to visit is the Big C. Everyone should go there at least once during their time at Cal.

The view of Berkeley and San Francisco is amazing, and it's just really peaceful up there. Not only that, you get a good amount of exercise walking up those steep hills. I even got to paint the C once, when I went up there while the rally committee was painting it yellow. There are so many little adventures you can go on in Berkeley if you're looking for a study break. You just have to know where to look!
