Feb. 15 | Do research in France this summer with the REU
The REU is a multi-site program offered by the Center for the Environmental Implications of NanoTechnology (CEINT) headquartered at Duke University. Participating REU sites include: Duke, Carnegie Mellon and Virginia Tech Universities as well as the European Center for Research and Education in Geosciences and the Environment (CEREGE) in Aix-en-Provence, France. The Research Focus of our REU Program is organized across a comprehensive effort looking at the environmental implications of nanotechnology with a focus on:
• Exposure: transport, fate, and transformation
• Effects in complex, real environments
• Risk assessment to inform decision-making
Eligibility: Students must be US citizens or permanent residents and rising sophomores, rising juniors or rising seniors in good standing in their respective departments. We welcome students with biology, chemistry, ecotoxicology, environmental science and engineering backgrounds.
