Research Interests

I’m interested in the ecology, management, and conservation of birds and mammals. I’m particularly interested in applying methods of GIS, surveying, and habitat sampling in order to study how human settlement, including changes in resource and land use, affects mammal and bird populations. As a research technician in the Brashares lab, I’m learning new methods to address some of these issues by working alongside Dr. Brashares’ graduate students and helping them develop and carry out their research projects. Doing so has given me practical hands-on experience in both the field and lab, and has helped solidify my future goals for research in this field.
