David Guba Kpelle

Research Associate

Over 18 years of experience in forest, coastal zone, wetlands and wildlife management in Ghana, especially in natural resources assessment, site and species protection, management capacity building and development of strategic and management plans. 14 years of working with the Wildlife Division of the Ministry of Lands and Forestry under the Forest Resources Management Project in Ghana. Experience in biophysical assessment of natural resources and in developing strategies and action plans to improve their conservation, sustainable management and monitoring. Trained natural resource managers, NGOs and local communities in advocacy, stakeholder participation, design and implementation of strategies for sustainable natural resource use and management. Managed government and donor funds to accomplish targeted deliverables. Conversant with the application of Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing, in natural resources management and modeling.
